Well i obviously know what it is and how you get them but i have not yet seen how you activate it . Can someone please tell me how thanks

You have to enter the code that the mountain dew etc comes with on xbox

If you already have it; I think you just click the "Apply to Gamer ID" button - & anyways I keep hearing that everyone will have double XP for the first week.

When the game is fulling released then on dewxp they will let you apply you gamertag. But you have to make sure that you played the game.
