I know there's already a sticky on rooting but that method did not work for me. Using this method I could root my SGS2 and my Samsung Galaxy Player. This method will only work on Windows (sorry Mac users). I am not the creator of this exploit and all credit goes to DooMLoRD of the XDA forums.Now, on to the tutorial....

Step 1:
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your device or the program will not detect it.
Step 2:
Enable USB Debugging in your settings (Settings-Applications-Development)
Step 3:
Enable Unknown Sources (Settings-Applications)
Step 4:
Connect USB cable to your phone then to your PC
Step 5:
Download the file from the link below
Step 6:
Extract the files from the archive and run "runme.bat"

Using ZergRush, this is the binary used to create the exploit that is executed by Revolutionary, (which is meant to unlock NAND on HTC devices) so remember, there is a chance this could end up being a SOFTROOT only which means you may loose your root upon reboot.
