If you are the host, you will more than likely lag out/be kicked and another host will be chosen.

has nothing to deal with your ip start up mw3 go to multiplayer dont search for a match just sit in the lobby look to the left it will say nat type open, moderate,strict if it not open you can unplug your router/modem for 30 seconds if you computer or anyother device that connects to the internet is on turn it off then plug your router/modem back in then sighn into xbl it should be open now


also if that didnt fix it disconnect your xbox from your router throught the network settings then reconnect hope i helped
