Where i live now i can't get highspeed internet and the only thing i have is mobile hotspot from my droid phone. also its a 4g phone but i only pick up 3g in my area. has anybody ever played off of mobile hotspot and how much data does it use???? Plus rep for help.

I have tried this on a 3g Android and it worked, VERY laggy as well

if you are thinking of playing any shooter games dont bother
the latency is too high and you will lag badly.
as for data using voice and game data ul be looking at around 50-100mb an hour (up and down combined)

Anything besides playing games will eat up your data quickly. Depending on your carrier, you probably have a data cap of about 20GB.

I've heard of people doing this before is why i asked. I sold my xbox after i moved and could not get high speed internet. Now im thinking of buying another one if the mobile hotspot will work. thanks man.
