Try again, that is not the same gpu, the one you posted is 1gb, his upgrade is 2gb. Depending on what you want to do, for gaming/rendering, I would go with the 2gb. General use, go with 1gb. As for RAM, they may be the same amount but they are not the same kind, you may not get the same performance that you would with Corsair.

Thanks for the replies just realized that 2gb vs 1gb on the resolution monitor i will be getting will only result me in getting another 2fps which TBH is not worth the extra 40Pounds.

Considering the resolution of the monitor your listed, a 560 ti would be overkill, especially with the monster that is the 2500k. A much cheaper, lower wattage 6850 could run games at that resolution perfectly and give the same result.

The monitor has a 60hz refresh rate, they both get well over 60 FPS constant so spending more for the same result isn't worth it. You may also want to take in note the MSI 560 ti blows hot air directly into the case - it also may be too much for your 500w PSU to handle ( depends on the brand ).

I'd look for low-profile RAM since there will be clearance issues with those huge sticks.

I Don't want to go for a higher res as i don't like really small icons on the desktop

What?

Would that monitor not be overkill with the 560TI?

May go for it as i can enlarge the icons can't i

I have plenty of space in my case ATm it has 5 fans as well blowing air out and one intake fan and the RAM i have changed to these:
