well, there are many people in this world, and amongst them are teenagers, and of course that this world is SO more technologically advanced, that of course the teenagers are going to want to go into a cyber world and play a virtual video game, instead of going out and running 5 miles a day at football practice, but people can be good at a video game, I, myself, am a 4 time state champion in wrestling, and a 1 time runner up in tennis state, I'm a Jr. in high school, i have a girlfriend, and everything, basic teenage life, my family's well of, well, me and my dad, buuut anyway, the main reason kids don't want to get up is because their LAZY! i have school and practice, i get out around 5pm and go home and play til' 9 or so, unless i go lift or run, or hangout with my girlfriend. there are people who still do stuff, their just less heard of.

that's how I feel, there are always going to be no lifers. It's not hard to aim and shoot, I'm first prestige with 7 hours played, not very hard to do it..

Honestly I believe that the only games that have actually caused for disruption are the games that are addicting.
Back in the day (PS2 online) i played Socom 2 with my brother my friends and his friends, afterwards of an hour or so we would go somewhere and hang out or go play soccer. I used to hear about people who went for playing a game for several hours straight and i would say "no life's". Now the average game time a day is about three hours, and people say that that time is extremely low.
What i'm ranting about is games that people play for hours and not get bored, or do get bored and frustrated on a single goal, kids fight constant;y to be the best player. War games like CoD or Battlefield, Halo, and GoW all do these kinds of ridiculous things in multiplayer that cause people to continue playing them such as prestinges(i misspelled it probably) or really high levels. I remember in Socom there was a low amount of levels and how once you reached the top, you played for fun and not to exploit the game or make other people mad.
The biggest problem that games today have done to children is keeping them engaged. Kids have little Homework and no Job or authority to hold up on. They are carefree and enjoy themselves too much on a single thing such as gaming. Kids need not to fallback on video games for greatness or achievement.
Last thing i need to get off my chest is Xbox Live's choice of words. They use achievements as though you accomplished something that everyone in the world will care about. Nobody on my last job interview for a part time job at Academy (only part time because I'm currently still in High School) would even give a dam-n about me beating the newest CoD campaign on veteran or unlocking all the achievements in Halo (FYI i have not done either of those). Xbox's choice of words are thrown too loosely and are giving the mindset to children of accomplishment, yet children do not realize that there is no recognition for what the just "achieved" or should i say "wastement of time".
