ok as more and more of you know, there are some pretty dodgy sellers out there who try to get your money, without giving anything in return, knowing you cannot complain about because they make you pay in a certain way. This tutorial i am presenting should give you guidlines so in the future you shouldnt get scammed.

1.DONT PAY AS GIFT: to many people are paying as gifts for jtags etc, and then complaining they didnt get their xbox. Tough Luck, you cant do a thing. If the seller is trying to influence you to pay as gift, just go to another seller because he is most likely as scam.

2.ASK THEM QUESTIONS: dont just buy from them because they know the basics, ask them further into detail, like ' what soldering iron do you use' 'What motherboards do you sell' 'What rebooter do you use on your consoles' . Also trick them with questions, pretend innocence, eg. I dont wanna get a hdd, but can you install xex menu on the console: THEY SHOULD IMMEDIATELY RESPOND, NO, XEX MENU IS ONLY FOR THE HDD.

3.FEEDBACK FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS: ask him some of his previous customers that were happy with him, and if they would vouch for him.

4.TTG TRUSTED/SCAMMER SELLER LIST:probably the best thing to do, is look on this.. Try out a couple of the trusted sellers of this list.

5.REQUEST PHOTOS: request photos from they seller, with a piece of paper and your name on it. to show proof they actually own the item.

Hope this tips helped. i am going to be adding to this list, so if you liked it please thank the topic

It is common sense, yet people still get scammed because they don't do stuff like this...
