Sorry, but seriously? You think his black screen problem is called a blue screen? Think about that for a second. Black does not = blue. I'm not trying to be rude but please don't try answering peoples problems if you don't know what you're talking about.
As for the OP, what model of laptop do you have? There are some laptops that commonly have this problem and they can sometimes be fixed. Other times, it's broken and unless you have a warranty, you're out of luck :/

I know what you mean. This is very common with Inspirons and it apparently has something to do with the hard drive. The only fix that I know of or could find is to buy a new hard drive unfortunately. At this point, you may want to just invest in a new computer. Christmas is coming up soon. Buy yourself an early present
EDIT: One person has said they fixed this by entering the BIOS settings and changing the resolution. When your computer is booting, keep pressing the BIOS launch button. It is usually F8 or F12. If not, it should display it at the bottom of your loading screen.

No, it is not the same problem at all. You have only proved to me further that you don't know anything about this. It doesn't matter if you ask for my opinion. I am free to express whatever opinion I want. Especially when you don't know what you're talking about and are probably only confusing the OP.

Please do not buy one of those overpriced pieces of garbage. Building your own PC is easier and much cheaper and more powerful. Head over to newegg.com if you want to buy parts, it's an amazing website.

Getting mad now? I'm 16 and yes, I have built my own PC. Does that matter? It is not very hard. Neither is installing an operating system. As you said, it's easy, so I don't know why you even asked me that. And how on Earth do I act like I think I'm Bill Gates? Because I actually know what I'm talking about? Just because you are wrong does not make me arrogant.
