Okay, so I am getting sick of people saying things like "this isn't facebook" when someone asks for personal advice.
1. It's annoying.
2. It's annoying.
3. If you are on facebook often, you'd realize that people don't ask for advice from their friends. I would argue that getting advice from people online that you don't necessarily know (and disregarding the trolls) is even more helpful, because (generally) they will be more helpful, and honest. In addition, if it's something somewhat secretive, you don't have to let all your facebook friends know you're having girl problems (or whatever the case may be).
For example, today I saw a post saying "I think my girlfriends pregnant" and the poster was asking for suggestions as to what he should do.
Personally, I think he was smarter to post this on an online forum than on facebook, because if he were stupid enough to post it on facebook, all his friends would see it, and know he thinks his girlfriend is pregnant, which would be bad.
So anyways, I hope you get the point by now.
So please stop with the "this isn't facebook" comments, as they're not clever or funny.
As some random dude once said, "If you don't like the post, ignore it".
Thanks,
awe

Hopefully this isn't too long for you guys to read.
If so:
Summary:
You don't know people on a forum, therefore it's better to ask them for advice, because they're more honest, and you don't have to worry about them judging you/knowing something you don't want them to.

YES i mean really there is nothing wrong with it. People think this whole entire forum is for gaming, but thats also what the forum sections are for. I agree it does get rather annoying seeing some people who just go on to some ones post who sound like they have real huge problems and just say "THIS ISNT FACEBOOK GTFO!!" I mean grow up they need help and have no where else to ask it might as well answer with a real answer and not just spam them. I think the site need's an advice sub section.. for this kind of stuff as well though

it's not about being interested in one's personal life... it's about helping them out when they ask for help.
Once again "If you don't like a post, ignore it".
My opinion.
