Whats the best brand of spraypaint to use for painting controllers?

Also The best clear coating or gloss coat?

Brand doesn't matter
Aslong as it's not really cheap you shouldn't have any problem.

Yeah I get you, well you should be fine with some gloss or metallic, mid range price will do you fine, rough up the surface of the controller first with some fine sandpaper, 'wet and dry' just so the paint sticks, a couple of coats of under coat then gradually build up a few coats of the final colour, not too heavy all in one go. Leave it for 24hours I'd say, then a couple of coats of lacquer
