From personal experience.
Modding Gscore will get your Gscore Reset and not able to earn Gscore again from past games, Ur gamerzone will be changed to "Cheater" and somehow Corrupt ur profile...

Modding Avatar Will Get u Insta Banned

I used to mod my Gamerscore but that was a long time ago and nothing has happened since.

I modded by avatar and my gamerscore

My gamerscore got reset twice

When i modded both of them it was fine for like a year then i got perma banned


So yes you can get banned

You do not get banned for doing these 2 mods. They won't really care about your avatar skin and let it go, but if they see that you have your gamerscore modded then....your gamerscore will be reset and when you are at the dashboard, under your gamertag, where your gamerzone is, it will say "Cheater". YOU DO NOT GET BANNED!
