Why do you not go buy gold?

Giving it to yourself is not a crime and nobody will be upset with you, and plus you will be able to give the gift of gold to 10 people per month which I think is a fantastic opportunity for others to experience gold membership.

People just gift to get the badge and others do it to make themselves feel good but others like me gift so that others can enjoy having gold because they deserved it and it is pretty much the only way we can reward people for being fantastic loyal members.

I am glad you earn your own money and it is your choice whether you gift or not but I am guessing that you just think of yourself and nobody else (well that is the attitude you are giving out) so why even post this lol.

In a way yes. I want to earn it though plus there are some people here who really deserve it so I would love to help them out. You are right though I want to be gifted gold because I deserve it not because I paid for it.

Some people gift to get the pleasure of helping out the community.
