When i click on the folder to place the texture pack nothing happens it ust goes to the next thing in the folder. How do i load a texture pack? Please help

go to start on your computer and type in %appdata% and select .minecraft then go to texture pack folder and place it in there then on minecraft go to texture pack and select the texture pack but if its not there your computer cant run that type of texture pack.
