Microsoft had Midnight Release parties for the release of Gears 3, BF3, Mw3 and Halo Anniversary. If you had VIP passes which you get for going to the release, you get a free $25 Microsoft Gift card. They also had a lot of pizza and energy drinks. So Microsoft do have some awesome promos. I went to all releases except Gears 3, went with my bro and sis to Mw3 and Halo Anniversary and got $75 each one. I got BF3, Mw3 and my 360 GB HDD ($250 value) for a grand total of $40.
