If you put them greedy kids in african enviroment in one of the slums i doubt they would last 10 minutes without crying for they're mam and dad, only get the things you need, not stuff that you wont even bother unboxing.

Thank you sir. I understand your view on this.

To the people arguing that it is the parents' own indiscretion that affected their children's current behavior and mannerisms, I will agree that it somewhat is; however as someone has already stated, it is the children's own responsibility to learn the importance of money and not to be self-indulgent and ignorant of the world's current events.

To state that the parents are truly 100% at fault for their children's behavior would be a false allegation. I was essentially given everything as a child, however I am 16 years old right now, and asked for no material things this Christmas and past. I find no reason to even celebrate it anymore. I won't be even spending the time with my family. Everyone needs to understand that life is not predetermined.

Well if your family can afford it then it's absolutely fine, its kids whos family cannot afford and then get angry when they dont get what they want.

i only asked for one thing, which is a 1 year XBL membership. I only asked for it because my parents wanted me to ask for something. Personally, I thought they would be happy not buying me anything. I would rather watch my sister enjoy opening presents, but whatevs.
