So i bought a NEW HDMI cable so i could play in sexy HD i did exactly as i was supposed to and nothing works and yes i have fiddled around with the settings on both my TV and Xbox and ideas or help would be MUCH appreciated and i will give a 48 hour card to whoever can help me , cheers TTG
Everything is in the right place i have checked, the TV can take HDMI for consoles and the TV is also brand new so nothing is broken and all the ports are in place, the problem seems to be the xbox i think

Is it a HDTV?
U got it in the right port? Is their even a HDMI port on your TV?
Does you console Support HDMI?
So Many things to check
Also remember to Un-Plug your AV cable then plug in The HDMI

Xbox 360 settings, change them to 720p/1080i/p and it should work.

Try resetting the xbox factory settings or go to system and check your display settings
Also make sure you have the tv on the right channel sounds daft but if you have it in hdmi 1 and your viewing hdmi 2 you wont get a picture !
out if interest do you get any sound ?
