Over time it will just destroy it. Doing that just warps the board back into place so it gets a connection with the GPU again. The board also warps away from the GPU in the first place because of heat.

I did the trick one time.. two years ago and never had to do it again
Just started unplugging the console from the back.. ;)

P.S. Because something works for meh doesn't mean it will work for you...

I never said it worked for me, I did it before and it also worked for me. I'm just telling that doing it repetitively it will over time destroy your Xbox.
