Just a tip for anyone looking to get their first MOAB:
It really all depends on skill, not what gun you use. Perks do play a major role in getting the MOAB that is why I would suggest using the Specialist kill streak option. Before even attempting going for a MOAB I strongly suggest you play through the game at least 1 or 2 prestiges and figure out what style of gameplay you are best at. Whether it be camping, rushing, or defending an area, perfect your style and in addition to this find the gun you are best with. No one person can tell you what gun to use, use what gun YOU are best with. You also need to develop a set of "traits" or skills for this game. You need to notice such things as seeing bullets fly across your screen and what direction they are coming from. Seeing opponents for a split second and using common sense to find the best place to strike. How stealthy to be at certain moments and when to "go-loud."
I hope my advice will be taken into consideration by anyone reading and can't figure out why they haven't gotten one yet.
My source: 28 MOAB's and counting.

It would be best to be using the Attachments proficiency because when you get the Specialist Bonus you get all the perks and also all the proficiencies.
When you use Focus and you get your Specialist Bonus, because you also get all proficiencies along with perks, you'd benefit from all proficiencies but Attachments.
As for the gun, you'd also want to be using a silencer along with Rapid Fire, or Extended Mags, depending on your gun of course.

I've noticed going for MOABs on smaller maps like Dome and a few other's, I end up wasting my time because the spawns are so eratic and that someone comes up behind me, ending my streak.
