Is it possible for my ethernet port to go bad on my xbox. I plug in my ethernet cable and it says its not connected and I have used more than one cord. And yes my internet is on, otherwise i wouldn't be able to post this. I was just wondering is it possible for that port to go bad? Please Help.
Thanks.

Your port's pins that connect to the Ethernet Cable may be bent, or the actual cable that you are trying to use me be faulty due to the same reason or another another reason.
Have you tried using a different Ethernet cable?

It is very possible.
The wires could be bent, or it could be a bad ethernet, you may need a new one.

Well actually you didn't mention that Yeah, the pins in any ethernet port may be bent or damaged. Most likely is that the cable is broken or faulty, so keep using different cables and if that doesn't work then it is the actual port that is faulty.

i am sure that it could be worn down after a while of use, but if you take good care of it, it should last a life-time.

Maybe if you have been forceful in putting anything in it. I know this applies to discs. I have broken a couple of games by forcing them off of the center thing.
