I recently bought a game for xbox 360, later in that week my xbox scratched the disk. I thought of fixing it, but not with tooth paste, or peanut butter and other food fixing non-sense because I tried it before and I personally say it doesnt work. I used a mechanical spray on called : Wd-40, its mainly used to fix squeaky hinges, doors, bolts, and labled on the can is metal protecting, so I did some experimenting. And after using wd-40 my game [no longer] froze or I recieved the un-recognizable disk error. Please follow these steps on how to do this without risking destroying the disk.
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: Spray WD-40 onto the disk
STEP 2: Wipe the disk with a soft cloth, tissue, ect.
STEP 3: Rinse the disk under water. NOTE: you must do this for it to play easier.
STEP 4: Wipe the disk with a soft cloth, tissue ect.
FINAL STEP: Insert disk into media machine and it should play smoothly.
Enjoy!
