It all depends on where you live
but cable/fiber optic providers are usualy allways better than ADSL providers since distance from the exchange does not impact the speed.

so if you want fast reliable internet look to see if cable or fiberoptic is avaliable where you live

its just the cable they use to get it to your house.
fiber optic is not effected by the line distance where as ADSL (phone line) is.

if ur in the US services like Fios are fiber optic and provide fast internet
