Well I just realized, Mw3 made their first mistake of the year. When they issued bans, i'm sure they thought about this, but they didn't imagine it would affect so many people.

What I mean.

Well everyone knows that map packs are soon to be coming out right?

They just probably issued loads of bans (if they decided to do everyone..) for the people doing the prestige token glitch.

Which will result in many people quitting MW3 because of it, therefore their sales rate will drop, not bad, but it will go to shi** compared to what it could have been.

Example A: I'm sure I'm going to be getting banned, and I'm sure as hell not giving them any money haha. As well as my other friends who think this.

Well anyway, I guess this could count as a rant, but thought it would be more necessary here! Just tell me what you think of the situation!

robert bowling has tweeted about this before, not as many people did the prestige token glitch as people think, it seems like a lot cause of the amount of people who did it on TTG.

and a majority of those players will be waiting the 48 hour ban out and continue playing or possibly making new accounts.

i guessed you never thought about "how many little kids this day in age buy Xbox360's just for COD?" A lot

True, but in almost every game I was in recently in the past, everybody was talking about the prestige token glitch. Which meant it wasn't just people on thetechgame.

Example A:

Just the first video that popped up, had 200k views. I saw a couple of others that also had 200k views. Think about it and let that soak in for a second.

so if you viewed the video, that automatically means you followed it... lets count in the factors...

the amount of people who couldn't figure it out, lets say 2/10, so thats 40k
the amount of people who couldn't get a friend to help them out or get a second account, lets say another 2/10 thats another 40k
the amount of people watching the video and deciding not to even try the glitch, 1/10 thats 20k

right there is half of the people that just "viewed" the video already knocked out,

and lets add in the factor of who i will call "COD fanboys"(maybe they are maybe they aren't) who will still play MW3, and still buy the map packs even if they were banned/reset thats probably 2/10 at least and thats another 40k

think about it and let THAT sit in.....

and thats not counting the people who watched the video more then once so they didn't mess up.

TheMusicCenter wrote There are millions of people playing MW3 just because a few thousand decided to do a glitch and get them selves banned thats there fault. At least it not permanent its only 48hours and a reset.
They should have known they were going to banned.
At least they are being nice and not perma banning like trayarch did in black ops.(Not saying any dev is better than each other they are both awsome.)
Plus if those people who got banned had COD Elite then IW didnt really lose out on money.

Well your "few thousand" logic is wrong. Like the post I said above, millions + did it. Friends of friends taught each other, look at the youtube video views..

And yeah they are banning almost permanently.. Apparently you didn't read the news on the home page of the website. Has this picture.

1st just because people talk about it doesn't mean they do it.
2nd Just because people watch a video on how to do it doesn't mean they do it(people who actually try to do the glitch may be dumb and have to watch the video several time to figure out how to do it).
3rd The picture could be from something else like repeat offenses of boosting.
4th. RobertBowling already confirmed on twitter there is not as much people who did the glitch as some think.

It doesn't say anywhere that he "confirmed" that not many people used the glitch.. And yeah a HUGE majority did do the glitch, it's not that complicated AT ALL. Anyway, if it's only 200,000 like you people say.. 200,000 x 20(that's how much a map pack is about) = just like 4 million or so.. Not much right? Psshh pocket change. But no, a lot more people did it. Im estimating 1million. 1,000,000 x 20 = just about 20 million.

BUT, there are at least 100,000 people who did it. Therefore, at least $1,500,000 lost. Not bad, eh? What company would want to lose that? A stupid one I guess.....

AND NO, people look up videos to learn how to do that you nit wit, people look up how to jump off a bridge for entertainment purposes, not how to do it. Stop just posting stupid things to try and get around my point, you get it so just drop it.

They only lose the price of the people who buy the map pack, so when the hell did the card come into play? People buy it from the marketplace too, but do not factor in the other extra points purchased at the same time.
