Let me guess your parents are religious so you have to be? Look at the facts there is no proof of god. You have a choice you don't have to follow 70% off the world.

Prove to me that god isn't real. These examples you said, such as hunger, disease, and Hitler aren't relevant because god didn't make Hitler do the things he did. God didn't create disease. Disease came by itself when he created the world. God doesn't look a someone and say; "You're going to be a serial killer." People have free will so they do what they want. God doesn't just step in and make things all better. He doesn't cause natural disasters. Those happen by themselves. I believe god created the Big Bang and with a little help here and there, made Earth, and let evolution take place until we got here.

Those examples are things that he could stop. If he has power over us WHY DOSN'T HE STOP THEM? And also why are the only people who have spoken to God from 100's maybe 1000's of years ago?

He does stop things. Ever heard of the people who one day have a tumor, and the next they don't? I'm not sure why he chooses some people to die, and some to live. I believe when someone dies by disease or something natural, then god decides that it was their time. And I believe that he hasn't spoken to anyone in thousands of years for a few reasons.
1. People would think that the person he spoke to was crazy. Imagine someone who starting claim that god spoke to him. I wouldn't believe him.
2. Mankind is evil. Many people, like Hitler, are evil. Why would got talk to such an evil and violent people?
3. Before Jesus, you were accountable for all of your sins, so you needed extra guidance from god to help you. But after Jesus' death, mankind's sins were forgiven.

So Jesus God's son was hanged on a cross and God cleansed everybody's sins? If it was my so I would be pretty p*ssed.

Here's a story I heard recently from church. I might be wrong in a few areas so bare with me.

A group of Navy Seals were working on recusing several hostages taken by a terrorist group. They cleared the building where the people were being held and made it to the room were the hostages were being held. They went into the room and found the hostages all curled up next to each other scared out of their minds. The Navy Seals tried to get the hostages to come with them but they wouldn't budge. They didn't know how to tell that the Navy Seals weren't their captures. Then one Navy Seal set down his weapon and curled up next to one of the hostages. The hostages began to look at the Navy Seal and realize that they were being saved. They knew that they were the good guys because their captors would never have done that to them. This is much like how and why Jesus was sent to Earth. Jesus is god in human form. He was sent to be one of us to show God's existence and his love.

How would he know how far away from the sun we need to be? - Maybe he didn't. Maybe we were just lucky, who knows, we did not achieve space travel until thousands of years, by that time all life on all other planets could have died.

(I for one do not believe in god, but at least make valid arguments.)

People like you make me want to convert away form Atheism. Come on. Jesus is proven to be real, but since he was a hearder, people did not care for his birth date, so his birthday is not kept to record. Santa and the eastern bunny were made by companies for obvious reasons. Just like valentines day, and most other holidays. Santa is in no way tied with Jesus's birthday.
