A few months ago my laptop could handle minecraft and i was able to play it for hours on end, but for the past few weeks my laptop seems to over heat after playing for about half an hour. Any suggestions on how to fix it? <3

You are probably just using it too much.

Over time when Minecraft is Updated, new features are added which causes it to be more power hungry on your CPU and GPU. This causes the over-heating you are experiencing.

All I can suggest is to download Optifine for 1.0 to increase performance.

You can get a heat mat which has 3 fans below where you're laptop is to cool it.And it's cheap

Either theres no air ventilation or ur fan is broken OR your thermal compound is getting old and you might need to replace it

New fan should work. Also place it on areas it can ventilate in. So no blankets or other things like that.
