I think it s very nice. The lighting is awesome.

Question though, what the hell is that render of? I'm having a hard time seeing what it is.

Program-wise, photoshop is a must. I think Gimp just isn't good enough for what most people want to accomplish.

Make sure to follow LOADS of tutorials if you're starting out, no matter how good you think you may be, you won't know how to use all of the available filters and commands etc. efficiently without learning from other people.

Wall-E. I just had to do one of him and it was one of the only decent renders.
