I was wondering, how long does it take for your Rep to go up or down once you recieve/give rep? I've given rep to people, and when I do it still says I have the same amount of rep for the longest time. Also when people say they give me rep, it takes a really long time to show up. Do you have to log out and back on before it comes into effect?
Help would be appreciated!

No. To gain rep of others, users have to give 85 points combined. The max a gold user can give is 50, and Admins and moderators can give 100.

25 posts = one rep power.
100 reputation points = one rep power.
Your rep does not go down when you rep someone else, it stays the same.
To gain rep try to be a helpful member.

Thanks, that helped a lot.
And I do help out a lot on this site, but it seems as if no one likes to give out rep. I know I have a low post count, but a lot of them are from answering questions that people have. I don't post things unless its a question, tutorial(etc.) or unless I think its useful. But thanks again!
