Get the app for your iPod called "AirMusic" this app streams music from your iPod To your xbox/ps3. I've done it with my iPad before and it worked perfectly. I believe there is a free version that lasts 10 minutes, then you have to restart the application. Or you could just pay the $2.00

Put the USB cable into it (Into xbox while its connected 2 Ipod) then hit the guide button and scroll 1 to the right and click on Select Music
Edit: i belive you need a optional media update also and that can be found in the marketplace for free

Yes its called syncstream it free and you plug it it to the xbox. Open syncstream wait a second then go to music and select it. Ii will say "[sync] With your ipods name" and you can choose the music.
EDIT: you download syncstream on to ipod then plug it in the xbox and open it.
