I do not believe the damage glitched was patched for people who already had it on their guns. I have been killed multiple times while playing today by people using a gold MK14, silenced, in one shot. I believe if you had the damage glitch on your gun, and you do not put a new proficiency on it, you still have the +Damage. It just doesn't show you have any proficiency. Is anyone else noticing this?

Edit* Confirmed- People who did the Damage Proficiency glitch still have the damage on their guns, although it does not show it in public games during the kill cam, where you noticed it before. If you wish to keep it, don't change the proficiency and you will continue to have it until they patch it again differently. (Although you might have a greater risk of being banned, while continuing to use the Damage Proficiency glitch.)

I am playing right now, and people are definitely still one shotting me with the MK14. Someone wouldn't be using a gold MK14 with silencer, and have no proficiency.

You both have backed out to the main menu and returned, ensuring you have the latest hot fixes? Could it be that you are still on the older version?

Wouldn't be surprised if a hot fix came out and did nothing to fix this glitch.

Yea Fred, it is patched i believe in the way that you can not do it anymore, and it does not show up on your gun, although if you had it on a gun, and you do not change the proficiency, you still have the damage boost, it just does not show you have a proficiency on the gun.

The hotfix today was forced. I was sitting on the public lobby and when it went live it told me to download it.

I still have 2 attachments on my fmg9s and damage on my scorpion so its not patched i was on just 10 mins ago and had no new update
