Just make a new light and put it under the text. You have enabled the "alpha channel", so you dont have a backround.

click on the light, then move it in front of the text. :facepalm: you need to position the light yourself.

If you are trying to have a blank background, as in a .png file
Then:
Go to render settings
Change file type
Then set alpha channel "on"
