God does not exist - fact.
No more realistic than a third grader thinking a lkadjflksajdjfahdlkfhsdkjf exists..

whatever that would be, it is unrealistic, and is non - existent, Period
same EXACT thing with religion
Have fun in he'll d***

it would be impossible to have "fun" in hell since hell is opposite of fun and of course hell isnt a real place except for in the back of your conformist mind.

The idea of the post is not to change your opinion. It is to give my opinion, and give a base for people to discuss their opinions.

Fizzle_Nog wrote Atheism- the belief that there was nothing & nothing happened to nothing & then nothing magically exploded creating everything & then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself which then turned into dinosaurs... Makes perfect sense

If you want me to explain, in detail, how the Universe began and turned into life on Earth I will. Until then, don't flame on other peoples beliefs. I have not flamed on the belief of God, I have provided my opinion on why I believe he is not real.

PublicOpinion wrote and god is not human. he can do anything he wants and think up any shape that is different. only humans and animals have limitations. you also didnt mention NDE's, Exorcism, OBE's, Poeple communicating with dead people, ghost, etc.

Ghosts simply do not exist, no one has ever communicated with the dead before, and it will never happen. Exorcisms are the fake, go online and look up exorcism hoaxes. If ghosts were real, then we would see them all around us, there have been a countless amount of people that have died over the years, and yet I see no such thing. They are only real to their believers, because they convince their selves that they are real. Because people want ghosts to be real, because it adds a sense of mystery to the world, and possibly because it gives them hope in life after death. No-one who believes in ghosts does so rationally, because there is as much evidence for ghosts as there is for Santa Claus.

Shaylana wrote I believe in God, I believe that he created more than one path to the truth. I believe in the way God works in my life, and that trust has never done me wrong. I believe that he loves everybody, yes, EVERYBODY, because He does not make mistakes.

That's my two cents.

if god loves everybody why are christians being killed for loving him back?

It is more vise versa, Christians are killing others for believing in a different deity or lack thereof. Let me just name a couple off my head that have stemmed from religion: The crusades, holocaust, Spanish inquisition, 9/11 (from evidence shown by the media), and finally Palestine & Israel.

Alright guys, lets get started. I am an atheist, for those of you who don't know, atheism is the theory or belief that God does not exist. However I will try to give people an argument that is as unbiased as I can make it..

Bible:
Right, so lets start with the Bible. The Bible is a story that has been passed down for several hundred years, and has basically been one big game of Chinese Whispers on a massive scale!
When the Bible was originally written, it was written in an ancient form of Latin. Which few people spoke at the time. And so, at that time, the only things the majority of people new about the bible was what people of higher intelligence told them. And it is very highly thought that these people who could speak Latin used this to get what they wanted from those who did not, they distorted what the bible said for their own personal gain, by telling people that that is what the Bible said.
However, now it has been translated, there are several parts of the Bible that may well have been translated wrong, let alone not been true to start with. For example, when Moses parted the Red Sea, this could also have been translated into the Reed Sea, which is in fact only a few feet deep, and in the same region, which would have been easy to pass, and for another example, "Virgin" Mary may also be translated into meaning young woman, instead of our popular use of the word virgin. Rendering that part of the Bible untrue.
However, this is not completely relevant into answering the question of whether we believe God is real, as the Bible is basically, in my opinion, just a fictitious story.

Space:
Now, lets get onto the subject I know most about. If God were to have created the Universe, then he would have had an extremely HUGE challenge on his hands.
I am not particularly familiar with the 7 days of creation, however I do know that God was supposed to have created everything in the Universe in those 7 days.
It was estimated in 1999 by Hubble that there are over 125 billion galaxies in the universe, that is 125,000,000,000 galaxies. In our Milky Way galaxy, there are around 400 billion stars, that is 400,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy alone. And it is thought there can be as many as 100 trillion stars in some galaxies, or 100,000,000,000,000 stars. That means, that in theory, if we take how many stars there are in our Galaxy as an average, then there is around 5x1022 stars in the universe. That is 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in our universe. And EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS DIFFERENT. There is also estimated to be more than one planet orbiting most stars in the Universe. For example, our star has 7 planets orbiting it. However it is EXTREMELY hard to detect other planets orbiting other stars, and so we cannot be sure.
But even so, you are telling me, that God could think of 125 billion different shapes of galaxies, as every single Galaxy is extremely different.

Here are some examples of different Galaxies:

As you can see, these are just a select few galaxies, and they are all EXTREMELY different. Are you telling me God could think of 125 billion different shapes and sizes for Galaxies? Let alone all the different stars in the Universe.

Paley's Watch Theory:
Enough of numbers, we're now moving on to Paley's Watch Theory! For those of you who do not know what that is, I will quickly describe this theory.

Basically, this theory says that everything is SO complex, that it indicates there must have been a designer behind it all. That "design implies a designer." This theory uses a watch as an analogy, it compares natural phenomena to a watch, as the Universe and how everything works is so complicated that it's just like a watch, which indicates that there was a designer to the Universe. And some use the analogy that, the Universe is so complex, that it is the same as just finding a fully working watch on a beach, that was created completely by chance, by natural phenomena.

However, this theory has been criticized a lot. The first main criticism is that complex artifacts do not, in fact, require a designer, but can and do arise from "mindless" natural processes. However, the biggest criticism, in my opinion, is simply that if the Universe was not as perfect as it is, then we would not be here discussing this topic. If everything had not gone as perfectly as it had done from the second the Universe came into creation, then we would simply not be here. If there had not been a slight in-balance in the spread of atoms across the universe, then nothing would have ever happened to start with. And it continues, if the chain of events that did happen, did not happen in the exact way they did, we would not be here.

And here's were physics comes into it again. As some physicists believe in the "Multiverse" which is the idea that this is not the only Universe, and there are thousands of others, each with their own fates. And in the majority of these Universes, not everything would go exactly right, as it did here, and so that Universe would grow old and die without anything happening. But because everything went right in our Universe, because everything was perfect, Planet Earth was created, and the Human race was created.

Thank you for visiting my post, I hope I gave you an insight into why I personally do not believe God does not exist, or if I reinforced your belief in God, I'm glad about that too! Please, if you see any mistakes in my post, inform me and I will make adjustments. I will update this post with new sections when I can.

Any additional information you would like me to add would be greatly appreciated, and your name will be added to the post as thanks!

Please thank the topic, vote on the poll and post what you think about God's existence to keep the topic alive!

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't think the primary purpose of your life, of my life and the entirety of the human race's is just to blindly consume to support a failing economy and a faulty system, forever and ever until we run out of every resource and have to resort to blowing each other up to ensure our own survival. I don't think we're supposed to sit by idle while we continue to use a long outdated system that produces war, poverty, collusion, corruption, ruins our environment and threatens every aspect of our health and does nothing but divide and segregate us. I don't think how much military equipment we are selling to other countries, how many hydrocarbons we're burning, how much money is being printed and exchanged, is a good measure of how healthy our society is but I do think I can speak for everyone when I say, we're sick of this ****.

these facts are wrong very wrong the bible was written in greek and hebrew get your facts right ****

Please form a proper sentence so people can thoroughly understand your statement. The old testament was written in the Hebrew language, but in the new testament it was written in the Greek language.

One question for some of you guys. If God does not exist then how did we all get here? Don't tell me things like the Big Bang. That is all crap. It is 100x easier to believe that something created something than nothing created something.
