i have a theory i want to tel you guys.
Steps
Must have gogle chrome!

1. Have a microsoft point code card
2.Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and sign in
3.click redeem code
4.put it in and where is says how many points you have right click and click inspect element
5.change how many points is says to how many you want
6.cick redeem.

I dont know if it works, could someone please try it and post if it does.

Does not work, you have to be able to change the whole website code and not just "Inspect Element"

it wil just change the text on screen. wont actually go into the MS database and change the actual value.

Wouldn't work since when you inspect the element and you change it, it would only change the value locally on your computer.

I tried doing this on countless lower-level sites and it hadn't worked on any of them
I highly doubt it will work on a company as big as Microsoft
