Hey Community, Im hoping somebody can help me out.
Hears the Problem.
My Friend received some sort of virus via email which managed to Get his Windows Live ID and Password, since that The person has changed my friends password but has not used My mates xbox love account except from once I think.
Now he is offering me a free Iphone If i get it back for him.
Would I be best contacting Xbox to try and get his ID/Account back or should I be trying Via Windows live?
Any help Would Be a massive boost which will be rewarded with Rep+. If you have any tips/tricks then feel free to comment

Call up Microsoft and get him to tell them the exact details before his account was hacked. About 1-3 weeks later they should contact you back telling you if they got the account back or not. Usually when an account gets hacked, the hacker changes the email and password. Call Microsoft up and let them know. They should be able to aid you/your friend.

Near the same as ZeeGee's reply, but slightly different.
-Contact Windows, which can be found easily by typing windows, or hotmail into google or bing etc. Go to the Help & Support section, or somewhat similar, and choose your prefered method of contacting them. Tell them EXACTLY what happened, and remember they are on your side. They should be able to trace your ip, and your friends, and fix, re-cover the account this way.
From past expierence. I wish you the very best of luck, and sorry for bad spelling/grammer.
Good luck.
