Ok so on my computer it's really slow with rendering in after effects.

here are my specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 245
Memory: 4GB
Motherboard: ASRock M3A-GLAN

What could I buy for my computer to enable my computer to run faster and render faster in After Effects, And don't post saying after effects takes long anyway. If I make a montage and add a colour correction. Without the colour correction it can render the clips in like 30 minutes. With colour correction takes around 3 hours + and that's ridiculous.

Bonus Question if any of you know:

I dualbooted windows and mac with iAtkos s3 v2. I have set the arch=x86_64 flag in the boot and I checked and it says 64 bit extensions 'no' but I checked the software extensions and they all loaded in 64 bit, my processor is 64 bit and I don't know why I can't open.

I'm trying to open adobe after effects cs5.5 but on installation it says my computer needs to be 64 bit.

It all depends on your PC. Your PC seems good enough to render fairly quick in after effects, but if you upgrade your processor and graphics card that = super quick renders. :BLARGH:

1. Your RAM is wayyyyy to low to run AE.
2. 2.9 GHz is not very quick...Especially because it dosen't have hyper-threading like intel does.
3. If your rendering a whole movie in AE it could take hours. The Render Engine is designed to render specific scenes. Not a full montage. Use premier pro to render a montage.
