Let me introduce myself my name is Alan, and I couldn't find a place to post this anywhere else so I figured I'd post here.
For the past couple of weeks I've been trying to recollect some things that have occured early on in my childhood. It's hard to explain in a few words so I decided to write a personal narrative from my point of view. I'm trying to describe these things to the best of my ability, but like I said this took place about 9 years ago when I was still in elementary school

>
In the fourth grade, school wasnt the easiest thing for me. The school I went to saw the importance in the transition between Elementary school to middle school. So the school implemented a way to make the school seem like a middle school, by adding lockers and different classrooms. The school itself was in the middle of an urban town, it was in between a couple of office buildings that were quite large. Directly across the street was a bank and many other buildings. So with the majority of properties being consumed by office buildings our school wasnt the biggest one around. Directly behind the school lay a huge thick of woods. This was a problem for the school because the playground wasnt large enough for all of the kids to be on it at the same time.

Sometimes kids would gather around the slide and talk about creepy stories that supposedly took place in the woods. This was just fun and games, and the kids would only do this on occasion. ( Especially in the month of October ) However all of the students knew the woods werent dangerous. The woods as we called it was actually a nature trail, and sometimes the science class would take trips back there. It was a great place to go and, as a kid there were many things to do back there. One day a new student had joined the school, nobody really talked to him. I never talked to him because I was the kind of person that never really talked to people that I didnt know. The same day the new kid joined the school I overheard a group of students talking. With nothing else of importance to do, I listened in.( I wasnt quite sure what was being talked about.) Hey man did you see those drawings? One kid asked. Yeah man, pretty weird. Another replied. Forget the drawings, that kid is really weird. Another chimed in.
That kid is probably some loser that feels bad about himself or something. Once I heard this, I immediately thought of the new kid. He didnt seem strange, nor did he dress strange either. He was wearing a red polo shirt, with thin grey horizontal stripes going across the shirt. He had a pair of royal blue jeans on, with just a regular pair of white sneakers that were covered with dirt stains with the labels torn off.
At lunch I decided to go to the lunch table he was sitting at and talk to him.
Hey man, whats going on? I asked. Nothing much. He quickly replied. I continued How do you like it here? He thought for a second. Its ok; small, but its ok. He paused. Its much better than my old school. Not knowing what else to say I simply asked What class do you have next? Im not sure, I think its something called Life Skills. I gave him an Oh. I thought for a second, that class was only for people that were struggling in school or failed a class the previous year. I knew this because I was in
that class. I suddenly remembered this, and said Hey, I have that class too. Oh, cool he said. He seemed to sound in a little bit of a better mood. He then replied My names Zach. I told him my name, and then we went to class.

Our class was currently starting a new project, the project mainly focused around our mind and how it works. We were assigned partners, and as I hoped I got partnered with Zach. This would be a good way to become friends with Zach, and I believe he thought the same. The task of our assignment was simple; make a journal and every morning when we woke up we were to recollect our dream ( if we had one ) and write down every single detail of the dream we could remember. At the time this sounded like a really cool project to a kid, and this attitude towards the project lasted for a couple of weeks.

One day in class Zach brought up something to me that he said was happening in his dreams that he thought wasnt important at the time. He said that in the last few dreams he had been having, a symbol kept showing up. He took out a piece of paper and started to sketch out what he saw. Here. He said as he handed me the paper.
What he drew didnt seem significant, the symbol was simply a circle with an X going the circles edges. Does it mean anything? I asked. No, I havent seen this before. He paused. At least I dont think so. At home, I felt in my pocket to find that I had kept the folded up piece of paper that Zach had drawn the symbol on. I looked at it for a second, crumbled it and threw it away. I slumped into my bed and fell asleep instantly.

The dream I had that night was the most vivid dream Ive ever had. At the time, I thought of it as nothing more then just a nightmare that had no meaning. I now realize it meant a lot more. The morning after that dream I wrote down everything I could as fast as possible. ( Although this task wasnt difficult due to the vividness of the dream.) When I walked into class Zachs eyes shot to me and could tell something was wrong.

He looked at me as I sat down. Iseverything ok? He asked. No, I had the worst nightmare. I paused. It felt so real. He replied Thats what I was about to tell you. He stopped for a second. I could barely sleep afterwards and... I interrupted him and said Well, let me tell you what happened in mine before I forget. I started to describe the dream. I can remember waking up in the alleyway in between the bank and thrift store across the street from my school. Zachs eyes grew wide. When I walked into the street I noticed that something was extremely wrong. The sky was grey, and all of the cars in the street were strewed all over the road, as if a toddler had dropped a trail of toy cars everywhere.
I continued on to the school, and noticed that all of the lights were off. When I was walking to towards the cafeteria something caught my eye. In the window of the life skills class, I saw a very dim glimmer of light. When I approached the room I noticed it was a candle. Although this was strange, It wasnt what truly disturbed me. After having already experiencing the dream, I wish I had awoken at this very moment.

When I slowly opened the door I felt a chill. What I saw was very strange, the rows of desks were in perfect position and there was only one student sitting in a chair in the middle of the room. He was sitting in there repetitively writing the same sentence down, ( at least from what I could tell. ) I then noticed he was whispering something, it slowly became louder and I was able to make out what he was saying. He simply said run over and over again. Once I heard this, I noticed something sitting behind the teachers desk. It looked blurry but it took the appearance of a wilted tree. Its long branches stretched about the walls of the room. I started to run but the door seemed to get farther away. I felt something cold grab my leg and I fell. I could feel the trees presence growing closer, and then the dream ended.

When I finished describing my dream, I noticed that Zach had gone pale. What he was about to tell me disturbs me to this day.
He leaned over, cleared his throat and spoke softly. II was the kid in the chair. He paused. I saw that thing.. He stopped. I couldnt believe what he was telling me. At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but I then saw the genuine fear in his face. I grew quiet and said nothing.

Was it really possible that our dreams had connected, and what did the dream even mean? As these thoughts began to swim in my head, the bell rang and we went to class.

It may seem like a book, but it's not a book. I wrote it in a way that ( to me ) I could better understand it. I'm currently writing about my early childhood and about some of the things I could not explain about it and I decided to post it here. I am still writing, and I will be posting more.

Don't worry, I'm not sure if I understand it either.

That's some weird stuff right there, I've had something like this with one of my friends before, but it wasn't a nightmare, It's genuinely creepy when you see them the next day and you both have had the same day, and I'm guessing that from the "Part 1" that there's more? I'll be looking forward to reading some more.
