What recorder should i get?

Hd pvr (too expensiive, wont get it anyways)

does anyone know if a roxio records in hd?
and if hd recorders like hd pvr, do they work with hdmi cables?
does any recorders work with hdmi cables?

Heres a lil help. All HD recorders need HDMI Component Cables. If its says it doesnt need a HD Cable set its not HD. Unless you render the shit out of it and kill you internetz for hours.
Roxio is not HD unless you render. PVR is and BM is and Averia also is.

How hard is it to render a crappy easy cap or dazzle to amazing quality like in some videos I've seen on YouTube?
Is it worth trying since its so cheap?
