wbu wrote I've had this problem a couple months ago. You accidently blocked access to your router on avg. What you need to do is go to a different location like mcdonalds or your aunt birthas or somewhere that has wifi, then go and fully uninstall avg. This happened to my laptop back in november so I went to mcdonalds to uninstall it because when you try to uninstall it you cant because your router is still on the block list even though you are still connected. That is the easiest way to do it. Also if we want to get technical, go through your block list and find your router and unblock it. Not sure if that works but that part is just a suggestion.

So i uninstal at a different place then re download it there? because i downloaded avg using my usb dongle.
Im not sure what a usb dongle is but im guessing you are using it now so uninstall it now with the usb dongle. If you get any errors while uninstalling then you will need to uninstall somewhere else

But why do i have to uninstall? it says im connected fine and i have internet access and i can perfectly use skype. its just when i try to browse the internet
Because like I said it is blocking your router. Unless you want to search through every file in avg looking for your router to unblock it then just uninstall. If you don't want to then fine. You can just call up avg and get support from them too if you don't find an answer here.

I kinda had a problem like this, just check, go to internet options , connections, lan settings and make sure nothing is checked, but it probably doesn't matter since all the browsers dont work
