Nope, its the GPU in the xbox, its shot. It does it randomly, but NEVER on assassin's creed. >.>

OT: it's probably your disc... check the laser lens. Open your xbox up and see whats wrong... if you don't have a torx T8 screwdriver laying around then just use a philips crosshead, those seem to do the trick
