Chopper Gunner

AC-130 i believe is the best but I do like switching up occassionally to use the chopper gunner to me they're both great b/c you trap people in their spawn especially playing modes like domination, ground war and Team Deathmatch

This deserves some clarification.
As you can see from my other topic, I've gotten my 100th nuke now, and I'm pretty sure I can go in depth to this.
There's some components that add to which is better.

Map size
On a smaller map, the chopper and the AC are tied 100%. They both get massive amounts of kills, yet if someone hides, the AC will easily dominate them over the chopper.
On a larger map, the spawn points are easy to find leaving the chopper gunner as a one helicopter wrecking crew, racking you up 20-30 kills.

Skill
Let's face it. Some people just aren't good at the Chopper gunner. They can't seem to get a lot of kills with it. The AC is perfect for them. You don't have to be good. You point and shoot, which leads to a mass explosion of bodies. Complete chaos is fun!

Collateral damage
There's not a doubt in my mind everyone knows this one. The AC-130 Gunship for sure.
If you locate a spawn in the chopper gunner, you may get a few doubles and triples. In the AC-130, you demolish anything in your sight leaving you with 3-5 Multi Kills.

Time
It's obvious if you're not very good with time planning the chopper is better for you.
I prefer 1 minute (or whatever the chopper is, I'm not sure) over the AC's crummy 30 seconds any day.

Skill with the one
It depends on what you're better with. Plain up. It's not about the air support choice itself, it's the skill you have. If you're good with a AC go ahead and use it. I myself dominate with the chopper. I'll stick to that.

Fun
Alright. Fun-ness. The AC Tops the chopper NO DOUBT. It's kind of obvious you'd pick blowing someone to smithereens and still having a gun, and another rocket type weapon over just a gun. C'mon! It's funner in the gunship. Period.

My personal numbers:

Nukes with the Chopper Gunner: About 80(give or take 5)
Nukes with the AC-130 Gunship: About 20(give or take 5)
