Synopsis;
It is the third game in the TimeSplitters series, after TimeSplitters 2, which was released in 2002 (itself the sequel to TimeSplitters released in 2000). The game features a single-player mode consisting of levels where the player assumes the role of Sergeant Cortez, a time-traveling marine from the 25th century, as he attempts to go to the past to save the future. The game also includes a range of multiplayer options as well as a cooperative mode. Online play was included in both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions. This is also the first Timesplitters game in the series to receive an "M" rating by ESRB.
Game Information;
Release Date: 24th March 2005
Developers: Free Radical Design (Now known as Crytek UK)
Publishers: Eidos
Platforms: Playstation 2, Xbox and Gamecube
Genre: First Person Shooter
Players: 1-2 (2-4 with the 'Multitap' add-on or 1-16 humans (via System Link)
Age Rating: 18
IGN Rating: 8.9
My Rating: 9.5
My Own Introduction;
To finish Timesplittters 2 and begin Timesplitters Future Perfect, you start off in the year 2401 playing as a Space Marine named Sargent Cortez whom is fleeing from the Space Station that he destroyed in the end of Timesplitters 2.
During Cortez escape his escape pod crash lands into a 'Future Earth', as Cortez awakes he is greeted by two other marines, that tell him that the Time Crystals he has stolen are needed to power up the Human Time Machine where he has to go back into time and meet up with himself also with the help from some old friends to alter the past and prevent Dr. Crow from altering the past into which he controls the world.
Setting;
The main single player is based on a Space Marine named Sargent Cortez, his mission is to use his Time Crystals he has collected from the ending of the previous game and use them to go back into time and prevent Dr. Crow (who used to be a hippie back in them days and now into a sinister villain) from using the his own personal teleport and going back into time and stealing Cortez Time Crystals.
There is again a wide variety of locations and time periods within this game such as fighting in a Scottish Castle in 1914 to joining the crusade in a robot war in the year 2243. As you progress through the campaign you get to see how all the characters have evolved into being good or evil, whilst encountering yourself in confusion.
Graphics;
Courtesy of IGN, I have been provided with some fairly decent pictures to show you a great improvement on the graphics to this game. As you can see below not only the characters but the scenery has not only been improved in 3 dimensional forms but individual detail to the facial features and the background layers.
My graphics rating: 9.5/10

Game Modes;
One of my favorites added to Future Perfect is the Virus game mode, its a plain and simple mode but yet one of the most faced paced you will ever play in the game.
Co-op campaign - You can play the full campaign together and unlock characters.
Deathmatch - The player or team with the highest score based on kills and/or deaths wins.
Bag Tag - The player or team that has possession of the bag for the longest total time during the match wins.
Capture the Bag - Players must retrieve the enemy teams' bag(s) and return them to their own base to score points.
Knockout - Players compete to collect objects in the level and return them to their own team's base.
Escort - A team attempts to protect a bot as it tries to walk to a destination in the level.
Last Stand - Players attempt to protect key destructible objects (including themselves) from the attacking bots for as long as possible.
Assault - One team must defend a base from an assaulting team. The 'base' consists of one or more points which must be captured by the opposing team. The defending team often gets gun turrets to help them defend their base which get really annoying. The offensive team usually starts with access to better guns.
Thief - In Thief, the players must collect the kill rewards left behind by a dead contender. (Similar To Kill Confirmed)
Gladiator - Gladiator mode enables only the gladiator to score, so you better kill him fast.
Leech - In Leech mode, health can be gained by inflicting damage on the opposing players.
Shrink - In Shrink mode, the player's size is dependent upon his ranking of the leaderboard.
Monkey Assistant - A team of killer monkeys helps out the player with the lowest score.
Virus - A simple cat and mouse game, if you get infected you join the ranks of the dead covered in the green mist.
Challenge Mode;
I feel in Future Perfect this section of the game is more unique to the rest as you enter as you progress through Arcade Leagues, there are about 5 challenges in each tier where you have to obtain the highest score possible to earn fun cheats or 1 of 150 playable characters to earn.
Mapmaker;
Finally an decent update has been made to it, there are now Basic and Advanced controls for the new gamers or the die-hard map makers to fully customize a map at their own will, you choose what you want, you choose how it all works, you are practically God in this mode.
Controls;
There has been some slight improvement on the controls nothing to major but enough to keep the flow of the game running. Still the controls are the same for them die-hard fans but they are easily adaptable for the new comers. To be honest not a lot has to be changed in this section the controls are already easily adjusted to your own gaming ability.
Monkeys;
To summarize my review I have to finish off by telling you what a big addition to the game monkeys have been, they are included in every game mode in this game, there are 4 playable monkeys to choose from; a normal monkey, robo monkey, zombie monkey and a ninja monkey. They even have their own game mode and even their own gun.

Thanks for the comment, but don't try and bypass the 20character limit with emotions.
