Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, OnLive
Genre: First-person shooter, action role-playing, Horror
Players: Single-player, Multiplayer
Rating (ESRB): M (Mature)
Synopsis:
The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the first installment of downloadable content (DLC) for Borderlands and includes new quests, items, and enemiesincluding WereSkags and various zombies. The storyline takes place in an area known as Jakobs Cove which is a small town built by the Jakobs Corporation. Dr. Ned had been in charge of keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, but ended up transforming them into zombies. The main plot revolves around finding previous visitors to Jakobs Cove and investigating Dr. Ned himself after the Jakobs Corporation become suspicious of his work. The playable area includes a large outdoor map with several further areas branched from the main zoneincluding a dark, abandoned version of previous area 'Old Haven'
Story:
The story starts out with a guy explaining the story of how the zombies came to be to a small child. Soon you will be on the zombie island and fighting off hordes of zombies. The story mostly makes you laugh with its unique humor. You'll end up meeting Dr. Ned who looks exactly like Dr. Zed but with a big fake looking mustache, He will point out that he is certainly not Dr. Zed a few times in the story as well. You will do missions for him through out the story and find out he was the one who made the zombies as well as some other info. Near the end of the story you will fight Dr. Ned and he will fall down a hole giving you a 1 G achievement. Then you will eventually get to where he fell and earn the 49 G achievement for truly defeating him.
Story Rating: 10/10
Gameplay:
The Gameplay is the same as borderlands obviously, a very fun experience. I enjoyed killing different kinds of zombies and skags with top hats. Their is a couple different types of zombies: The average zombie, Defilers that puke on you, and suicide zombies that blow up when your near them and carry a giant barrel above their heads that explodes. (Try and shoot the barrel before he gets near) Overall very fun gameplay that you should enjoy for a long time.
Gameplay Rating: 9/10
Graphics:
The graphics are the same as borderlands, Its almost like a 3 dimensional cartoon. I enjoy them because they different then most games I've played. They don't glitch for me but I've hear from my friends the graphics can bug out sometimes so that could be a problem for some users. In my opinion they are some of the best graphics in games
Examples:
Graphics Rating: 9/10
Controls:
Controls are great, Very similar to cod and other FPS shooters. For example triggers being aiming and shooting, running is the analog stick and moving your camera angles around. Great for the game and easy to use without any problems. One of the best things about Borderlands to me is being able to switch over from Cod or a shooter and not having to get used to a different control scheme.
Controls Rating: 10/10
Achievments
Overall Rating: 9.5/10 (Great DLC that I reccomend you buy if you loved Borderlands and want more missions or land to explore, Not many dlc exclusive items which is a bummer and graphics can some times bug out. Other then that the DLC is perfect and has a funny, entertaining and original plot.)

Because the basic control theme is the same, not that it should be compared to cod though in a review that is certainly not about call of duty.
