what you have all been waiting for
Halo 3 Real Time Editing
Go install dashlaunch, put the launch.xex in your flash, ect.
What is Halo 3 RTH
Basically you use the software on your computer to edit your game on halo 3. for example i was playing system link and turned my warthog to have a scorpion turret .

Download the above file
The xex's go in the Halo 3 directory, overwrite the old Halo 3 default.xex.
Open Alteration, go to settings->XDK Name, put Jtag IP there.
Launch RTELauncher.xex, wait for menu to load up, play.
In Alteration, make changes, hit poke at bottom.
NOTE: this is not my work it is nateleroux
Coded 90% by me, the other 10% is snippets from xpp and XeDebug.
Also, guide button doesn't work properly, get over it.
UPDATE:
Halo 3 ODST xex.

Just open the ODST map in Alteration and follow the same instructions.
