Well, Today i've been on TTG for 2 years. (Technically, 3+ years, but never signed up https://www.thetechgame.com/images/forums/smiles/facepalm.gif)

Also, might as well celebrate the fact that i've achieved 9000+ posts as well within this.

It's weird, you find a website, check it out, find some cool things and never think that you could ever become as attached to it as you end up.

I noticed TTG way back when it was doing W@W Nazi Zombie mods, I told my friend RyanBukUK about it in school and he decided to sign up, damn 3 year member.

I never felt the need to sign up as you were always able to check out the forum without signing up, so I got to see all the glitches and tricks without requiring an account so I simply did that.

Then I kind of drifted off to other websites and never really bothered about TTG when I realised it became a major part of the MW2 scene. I was never interested in leeching for a lobby, I just thought "If i'm lucky enough to get in one, then fair enough" - I did try to get others to help me boost my rank via Riot Shields (Oh the good old days... ). I got really lucky and got in a 10th lobby free, which for anyone who managed to do that for the first time, was astounded at how broken MW2 was to be able to do that. Now it's a regular occurence to me, but back then it was astounding.

After my boosting/lucky 10th lobby I decided to become popular in the shoutbox, I found it great to be able to sit back in there and chat with other members without directly posting crap on the forum. Met many great people there, most of which are no longer with us, but I remember TTG_T3LF being one of the guys that I could most relate too (Scottish Alcholic working with computers) and had some fantastic conversations with him. Even now I still enjoy going into the shoutbox, I love the banter and i'm always up for a laugh as long as people aren't taking it too far. I try to not be as strict as I should probably be because I admit, I find things that can be questionable, really funny also.

I feel like I have to dedicate a specific paragraph to K3RI - Without you the site would be nowhere near the same. Most people see you as a indirect message sender to Sean, however I see you as the person that falls in ditches at the weekend drunk who supplies me with tunes. Thanks for everything!

Getting staff was definately an experience, until I actually got staff I probably was just a huge pain telling TTG_Killer (Pencil Man) and iBullet/Any other staff who were in the shoutbox to go deal with topics breaking the rules. I remember arguing with staff over the rules because I knew them better than they did, that provided some fantastic entertainment. Haha!

I remember comming home from school and realising I had a PM from Sean telling me I had become a shoutbox moderator (One of 2, iDave was the other one - We were the only 2 people ever promoted to Shoutbox Moderators, and Dave screwed it up i.p banning multiple people from the SB by mistake. - Another hilarious memory). You have no doubt seen some staff/members with signatures of the rages that I would sometimes go into with members who quite simply were not worthwhile being here, pretty sure I went over the top a few times as welll tho.

Being promoted to Global Mod was a great experience, I was finally able to properly help out the site that I had learned so much from. I could delete all the spam, flaming, advertising and other crap that shouldn't be here. It also meant I got to get some of the secret staff cake.

One thing people don't realise, is that we do not get paid to be staff - We dedicate our free time to helping out the site so that you all can enjoy it as much as we do, and we have to deal with a massive amount of hate due to that. I've been called lots of crap and had to deal with countless amounts of drama, but I think it's worthwhile. I have a great time on this website and I hope to just let you all enjoy it the same.

Becomming an Admin? Ha, that was funny. I woke up to like 60 wall posts saying Congratulations on Admin and at first I simply thought it was hippie messing around with my badges and having me spammed, imagine the surprise when I found out I was actually becomming an Admin after only a month and a half of being a Global Mod. I definately didn't think I was worthwhile, I thought there was much more deserving members to get it at the time (Such as Snowhiter, Another guy who dedicates so much to this site and amused me with all his humour) However, again, being able to better help out the site was great for me.

Most people probably think of Sean & hippie as these horrible corrupt guys (even before I got staff I got banned by hippie so I wasn't too keen on him before I got to actually know him), but the two of them really do put their lives into this site. Sean is so busy trying to make sure the site works, planning improvements and new features that he doesn't have much time to talk to members. This causes him a lot of grief, but he deserves your gratitude for keeping this site up and running instead.

Hippie, you are one of the weirdiest but hilarious people I have ever got to know. All the random crap you think of, as well as everything you do, you just make everything hilarious. People see you as this horrible corrupt guy, but i've gotten to realise that everything you do, you do for a reason. It can always be justified and all you want is to help improve the site as much as possible.

To telli, You are definately the man, I don't know how you've put up with me breaking so many features that you have put in but thanks! The work you put into the site is fantastic and I feel you should be thanked everyday for all the improvements and hard work you put into this site.

To all the other staff, You guys bring some fantastic humour to the site when you sometimes feel down. I want to thank you for all the free time you guys put into the site and let you know I definately apprechiate it. You make things so much easier by dealing with the issues that we might not be around to deal with.

To all the members, Thank you. I say this in nearly every milestone topic that I put but I genuinely mean it. Without you guys, the site would be nothing. There would be no content, no activity in the shoutbox, nothing. You are the guys that make me come back time and time again to find out new information, find out cool stuff, learn more about features and have a laugh with. Just try not to complain as much when we warn you for legitimate reasons ehh?

I really can't express how much this site has helped me expand my knowledge and skills, but I just want to thank everyone for helping TheTechGame be what it is today, and helping me find something to do in my spare time.

Here's to the future, and making it even better!!

tl;dr - Thank you everyone.

I go to college, have a girlfriend, go out partying and drinking with mates every weekend. Pretty sure I have a life.

Just because I help out on TTG doesn't mean I don't have a life.
