There is a general and off topic discussion, yes but that doesn't mean that the entire site should be directed away from gaming. 95% of this site is focused on what the website's domain means;

theTECHGAME

TECH- Computers, software, editing, etc.
GAME- Gaming, Xbox, PC, etc.

Although there is a General Discussion area, that doesn't mean that the entire site is focused around gaming. Sure most of it is, but the main focus of this site is based off of Gaming and technology. Although I see your point, I can see where everybody else is coming from. The main point of this site is gaming and technology, and it is a very high percentage, but not all of it.

I don't see a bunch of friends hanging out at the top left, I see a PS3 controller, a wii, an Xbox controller, a JTAG and a PS3.
