Synopsis(Wiki)
Afro Samurai is a 3D brawler with platforming elements. Using light hits, power hits, kicks, and blocks the player fights various enemies. Most levels culminate in a boss fight, and in-engine cutscenes advance the story.

Story
In the story of Afro Samurai, whoever is named "Number one" is set to rule the world. Whoever kills or defeats number one shall be named number one. Whoever is named number two has the authority to challange number one at any moment in time. If number 2 succeeds in defeating number one, he is then crowned number one. Afro Samurai's father is number one in the story. When Afro was just a child, he experienced this gruesome event. Years pass, and Afro is finally number 2 in line. Looking for vengeance, and revenge, but on his way to kill Justice, he encounters various enemies and bosses, until he can finally reach Justice. Confusing, I know.

Graphics
Graphics, surprisingly may be one of the only advantages to Afro Samurai's final score. If anything, the graphics in this game are decent. Nothing too special, but the gorey and bloody scenes and scenarios actually add some excitement and good gameplay to the game. Although action scenes are very well designed, cut scenes, characters, scenarios and enemies are extremely poor made. If anything brings up the score for graphics in Afro Samurai, it would be Afro, and the enemy ninjas. They are the best crafted things in the game. Scenarios are extremely weakly designed, and different houses and trees look like they haven't even been processed into a computer. The graphics, are not the best, but have something to look at when fighting.

Gameplay
The gameplay in Afro S. is overall bad. One of teh only advantages in the game that is somewhat enticing is the voicing in the game. Samuel Jackson voices Afro, so even so, it makes it somewhat entertaining. On the action side. Action in this game is very common, as it is basically the only thing you do. The repetitiveness in this game is excruciating. The same ninjas, same looking bosses, same characters and so on. Fighting is really not even that fun either. Although the graphics are fun, trying to get just one hit on a moving ninja may seem nearly impossible if you're new to the game. Although some missions have creativity to it, they are all nearly the same; until the end of course, where you will probably end hitting Justice with over 500 Sword hits until he finally loses a bit of health.

Controls
Controls in this game are another weakspot in the review. Controls are particularly difficult to deal with, and although you can customize the settings and controls to some extent, they are difficult to get used to. Hitting an enemy is also a problem, because a majority of the time, you strike down, and that can cause faults in accuracy and hitting an enemy directly. Controls are also particularly buggy. You can't really hit multiple buttons at the same time without it bugging up and what not.

FINAL RATINGS:

Synopsis: 8
Story: 6
Graphics: 7
Gameplay: 5
Controls: 4

FINAL RATING: 5.8 An Overall badly made game, with major flaws and gets boring fast.
