Hey guys is it possible to desolder BGA (Solderballs) from an xbox motherboard.
Im trying to do the smc hack to fix my nand. Or can i just solder over the solderball?

Solderballs are on the GPU and CPU (underneath)

Why are you trying to do that if you are attempting to Jtag?

You can use desoldering braid to take them off, just wondering why you want to

No it is a jasper jtag but i need to reflash my nand and i am just wondering if i can soler over the ball with abit of solder or something

If you are just ref lashing the nand, I assume you are just gonna solder the wires for your nandx or other flasher in, right?


Just put your soldering iron on the point and slide the wire in. no need to use anymore solder if there is already solder there

yes so can i just heat the solderball up and slip the pin header in there with the heat?

solderballs are on the 360s gpu and cpu i think you mean to solder your nand x pin headers to the points on the motherboard

yes the solder points for the nand x they arent called solder balls lol
