yes i have the same exact modle and gingerbread update and rooted it dont use z4root or gingerbreak THEY WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE AGAIN DONT USE GINGERBREAK OR Z4ROOT if u wanna no how to root it msg me

yupp i have exact model and mine is rooted i used easy root on the computer pretty easy and self explaning tut now i got cool features like change fronts and boot up animation only sad part is xperia play dose not have a boot.mp3 so i cant add sound to boot
