Remember the Good Ol' Days?
Runescape 2006 Remake
All old rs fans, and old players need to check this out. If you did not play during this time or before...2006 was when Runescape was at its prime, on average 20+ worlds with 2000+ players, tons of pkers, staking, merching, W2, W1, balanced economy, and bots did not plague the game.
Good news! A remake has been in progress for almost a year now with the compliance of Jagex. Pre-Alpha testing will be out soon in order to check the stability of the server and find any bugs/glitches. Thousands of players join each and every day awaiting the day that this amazing server is released.
I, for one, used to enjoy every second of Runescape back then, until the destruction of pvp, staking, and merching. Yes some of you may say well its back...no its not. I know those of you who agree with me will love the coming of this server.

so i dont get it ? is runescape going back to 2006? or will they make a world for only 2006? im lost?

It's a server that a bunch Of coders have been working on that is Runescape before all the 2007+ updates. It will have multiple worlds, high scores, all quests at that time, etc

To clarify any questions that will come up (face it, there are going to be dumb questions) this is a Private Server that is hosting on extremely dedicated servers to provide all players the best playing experience. You will not have to pay to go to member locations/do member skills (go to Catherby, Rock Crabs, Farming, Herblore). The onlyway that this server is being funded will be through donations.

When is RS2006 coming out for Alpha testing?
It's too early in its stages to figure that out. You'll be able to play when the time comes, but in the mean time, register on the forums and chat with the community. You can follow the project's progress by clicking here.

No. This is strictly a remake of RuneScape 2006. Meaning that everything in RuneScape 2 up to May 15, 2006 will be in the server. The only exception may be skillcapes.

Love the idea, I've been playing on and off since 2005, good stuff... ahh the memories I hope they include the classic music as well.

Its ok it will be fairly bad at first with the only way to get items would be pvm because no custom shops ect.
