Go to Jorrvaskr (Companions main house) in Whiterun. Start there first or second quest. You will have Farkus for the rest of the game as long as you don't complete the quest. *SMALL SPOILER* If you don't complete these quests then you cannot become a werewolf. He is very good help as you can get him right at the start of the game. He will tank and take most damage while you just hit from side. he can't die but will go down on one knee if he takes to much damage. Like CPU's when they have a quest that you havent completed.

Mjoll the lioness is also invincible she's found in riften all you have to do is her quest
