The first thing some people do on this site is ridicule, I liked your idea and the way you made the tutorial was nice.

Only simplicity is usually a lot better in making designs so you don't have to go crazy with it

get the badge psd change font drop shadow and hue color and somethign else there is a psd where you can make them look way better silverwolf released it awhile ago
