I don't know if you guys know this but if the well being of the officer is about the be affected and the cops retaliation is to shoot, they must shoot to kill. He was only doing his job. I'm not racist, but if I was shot this discussion wouldn't even be thought of.

Although he shouldn't have even approached the kid after being told not to, he assaulted him, Zimmerman had no idea what was going to happen so he did the only thing his reaction told him to do, shoot.

He acted on the heat of the moment, and whether or not you believe it was self-defense, in no way is this a racial matter. I'm absolutely positive he would have reacted the same had it been a white kid.

I respect your opinion but I disagree. Zimmermon followed Martin to his house because he was black and wearing a hoodie. A neighborhood watch man should not have a gun. He needs to watch. The police told him not to react to the kid. He did anyways. Martin was 150lbs, Zimmermon was 250. I don't think that was self defense.

ok? Zimmerman isnt a police officer he is the "self appointed" neighborhood watch captain
so he's suppose to watch and relay info to the police but he didnt he took it upon himself to pursue trayvon. Also a little background Info on Zimmerman he failed out of the police academy and has been arrested for assaulting a police officer
